MURFREESBORO, TN - Murfreesboro Police say a local nurse was arrested Friday (12/5/2025) night after a disturbing incident at Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital. Detectives allege that 25-year-old Tyler Butcher sexually assaulted a patient while on duty.

According to investigators, Butcher was taken into custody at his home shortly after 9 p.m. He now faces a list of serious charges: kidnapping, sexual battery, prevention of emergency services, and indecent exposure.
