MURFEESBORO, TN - Today on the WGNS Action Line, host Scott Walker sits down with Dr. Sarvani Singh of Murfreesboro Medical Clinic’s Endocrinology Department for an in-depth discussion on thyroid health, diabetes, and everyday lifestyle factors that impact long-term wellness. Dr. Singh explains common thyroid-related problems, shares insight into diabetes management, and discusses the growing role of tools such as insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitoring.
During the conversation, Dr. Singh also highlights how small, practical changes—such as improving diet choices, establishing healthier sleep patterns, and addressing weight concerns—can make a meaningful difference for many patients across the community. She provides clear, patient-focused insight into conditions involving the thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal and pituitary glands, as well as hypogonadism.
Dr. Singh is a clinical endocrinologist specializing in general endocrinology and diabetes care. She graduated magna cum laude from Florida Atlantic University, earned her medical degree from St. George’s University, completed her internal medicine residency at Meharry Medical College, and finished her endocrinology fellowship at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Though she grew up in Miami, Florida, Dr. Singh has called Tennessee home for many years and is excited to serve the Middle Tennessee community as part of the MMC family.
Also joining the program this morning is longtime MMC staff member and Office Manager Jami Gilliland. A Middle Tennessee State University graduate, Gilliland has been with Murfreesboro Medical Clinic for 16 years and currently oversees Neurology, Endocrinology, Rheumatology, and the Infusion Center. She shares perspective on MMC’s team-based approach to patient care and the role these specialty departments play in serving the region.
