MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WGNS) - Rhonda Allen, a former Rutherford County Commissioner representing the Smyrna area and a longtime small business leader, has passed away, leaving behind a legacy of public service, faith, and deep community impact.
Allen previously served on the Rutherford County Commission and ran for Rutherford County Mayor three years ago, earning respect across the community for her integrity, steady leadership, and commitment to local families and businesses.
Beyond her work in public service, Allen was a central figure at Allen’s Air Care, where she served not only as the wife of company president and owner Mike Allen, but as a mentor, guide, and trusted friend to employees and customers alike. Those closest to the company say her wisdom, genuine care for others, and strong moral compass helped shape the culture and direction of the business.
In a statement shared by Allen’s Air Care, the company noted that Allen’s faith was foundational to her life. She was known for openly loving the Lord and sharing that love with everyone she encountered. While her passing is deeply mourned, those who knew her expressed gratitude for the lasting legacy she leaves behind.
