MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — Downtown Murfreesboro was filled with holiday cheer Sunday afternoon as the 2025 Murfreesboro Christmas Parade, themed “A Sweet Christmas,” brought the community together for one of the city’s most beloved traditions.
The annual second-Sunday-in-December event once again drew crowds downtown as festive floats, marching bands, dancers, and local organizations paraded down Main Street in celebration of the Christmas season.

This year’s parade was led by Grand Marshal Bill Allen, a Navy veteran, D-Day survivor, and Murfreesboro hometown hero, adding a meaningful and historic highlight to the celebration.

The event concluded with the arrival of Santa Claus and his sleigh, one of the most anticipated and cherished moments of the parade.
📍 Parade Route
The parade began at East Main Street and Middle Tennessee Boulevard, traveled around the downtown square, and concluded at East Main Street and Walnut Street.

Several downtown streets were closed during the parade, including:
