MURFREESBORO, TN — Residents considering hip or knee replacement surgery will have an opportunity to learn more during an upcoming community information session hosted by Ascension Saint Thomas. The free educational event, titled “Is Joint Replacement Right for You?”, is scheduled for Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at 5:30 p.m. The session will take place at Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford, inside the McDonald Conference Room.

The presentation will be led by Dr. Lucas Roth, a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in hip and knee reconstruction. During the session, Dr. Roth will discuss the latest surgical options available for joint replacement, what patients can expect during recovery, and how to determine whether total joint replacement is an appropriate treatment option.

Topics covered will include common signs and symptoms that may indicate it is time to consider surgery, an overview of the total hip and knee replacement process, and a live question-and-answer segment where attendees can ask specific questions and address personal concerns.

The event is designed to help patients and families better understand joint replacement procedures and make informed decisions about their orthopedic care.

Those with questions or who would like additional information may contact Gay Ensey, Orthopedic Coordinator, at 615-396-5237.
