MURFREESBORO, TN - Just after 7:00 Monday evening (12/22/2025), Memorial Boulevard lit up like a runway as police cars, firetrucks, RCEMS units, and other emergency vehicles streamed toward a strip center near Walmart. Drivers slowed, curious about the sudden wave of red and blue lights stretching down the busy roadway.

PIO Larry Flowers shared that a Murfreesboro Police sergeant reached out to let him know WGNS was already on the scene at Sports Clips, where the activity was centered. According to the sergeant, officers had been dispatched for what was described simply as an EMS assist call.

When first responders arrived, they found a man inside a vehicle. Details about his condition weren’t released, but the sergeant emphasized that the situation was considered a medical emergency. The man was transported to Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital for care.

The large response understandably caught the attention of anyone passing through the busy corridor, but officials say there is no ongoing threat connected to the incident
