L to R: Items Seized in Metro Nashville Case / Mugshot of Trevor Anderson in Domestic Murfreesboro Case

MURFREESBORO, TN - A case that dates back four years has wrapped up in a Rutherford County courtroom, and the convicted defendant, Trevor Anderson, is now facing sentencing. The case stems from a domestic disturbance reported on December 20, 2021, when Murfreesboro Police responded to a 9-1-1 call. Upon arrival, officers quickly located the suspect, Anderson, who stands 7 feet 2 inches tall…

According to court records, the initial police response was triggered by an accusation that Anderson threatened the victim. Investigators say that threat was reportedly overheard by a witness, strengthening the case against him…

Looking back at the timeline helps explain why the conviction did not occur until 2025, with sentencing now scheduled for this month. Prosecutors noted that Anderson has faced multiple legal proceedings in different jurisdictions, contributing to delays in the Rutherford County case…

Court records show Anderson’s sentencing hearing in Murfreesboro had originally been set for November 7 of last year. However, a continuance was granted, pushing the hearing into the new year. Complicating matters further, Anderson is also scheduled to appear in court for an unrelated Nashville case just one day prior to his Murfreesboro sentencing… As previously reported, Anderson is expected to appear in a Nashville courtroom this month, where he faces an attempted first-degree murder charge along with additional counts.

In January 2023, Anderson was arrested when Nashville Metro Police took him into custody in connection with a Smyrna shooting. During that incident, officers conducted a traffic stop involving a stolen vehicle and recovered two firearms—one reported stolen and another modified to be fully automatic—along with significant quantities of heroin and cocaine. Anderson, who has prior convictions for voluntary manslaughter and robbery, was charged with multiple felony offenses and held on a $117,000 bond in 2023 where he remained long enough to face the charges in Murfreesboro that dated back to 2021.

The driver of the vehicle in 2023, Terrence L. Brown, 20, was also arrested on several felony drug and weapons charges and held on a $75,000 bond.
