MURFREESBORO, TN - Linebaugh Public Library will host a book signing event featuring local author Juanita Bompart on Saturday, January 17, from 12:30 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. The event will take place at Linebaugh Public Library, located in downtown Murfreesboro.
Bompart will sign and sell copies of her children’s book, Pajama Jones, with a reading scheduled to follow in the library’s conference room. The book is described as a poetic and imaginative story centered on a young man with a unique sense of fashion, encouraging readers to look beyond appearances and recognize the character within.
According to library officials, Pajama Jones gently challenges the tendency to label others based on clothing or circumstance, while promoting compassion, curiosity, and understanding. The story is designed for children and families, inviting them to pause, reflect, and choose kindness over quick judgment.
Bompart is a children’s author, homeschooling mother of seven, and advocate for teaching empathy and discernment from an early age. Her work blends imagination with real-life lessons, aiming to help young readers develop character, confidence, and emotional awareness. Library staff say her storytelling reflects everyday moments and emotions that resonate with both children and adults.
Copies of Pajama Jones will be available for purchase at the event for $18.95. Accepted forms of payment include cash, CashApp, Venmo, and Zelle.
Linebaugh Public Library is part of the Rutherford County Library System, which also includes branches in Smyrna, Eagleville, and Murfreesboro. Additional information about library programs and events is available through the system’s main office or website.
