MURFREESBORO, TN (WGNS News) - The Murfreesboro City Council and the Planning Commission will come together for a Joint Conceptual Workshop on Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2025, to review proposed amendments to the city’s Design Guidelines. The meeting begins at 4:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall, located at 111 West Vine Street.
City staff and a consulting team will lead a 20‑minute presentation outlining the recommended updates, followed by an hour of questions and discussion among council members and commissioners. Because this is a workshop session with no actionable items on the agenda, there will be no public comment period before the meeting.
The agenda posted by the City of Murfreesboro shows a straightforward schedule: a call to order, confirmation of a quorum, the workshop presentation and discussion, and adjournment at approximately 5:55 p.m. The full agenda is available through the city’s Planning Commission Agenda Center on the municipal website.
This joint workshop offers elected officials and planning leaders an opportunity to review and refine the city’s design standards before any formal action is considered at a later date.
