Notice of Delinquent Property Tax Sale Set for February 5, 2026 in Rutherford County and Murfreesboro

PUBLIC NOTICE: DELINQUENT PROPERTY TAX SALE: Pursuant to Tennessee Code Annotated § 67-5-2502, notice is hereby given that the following properties will be sold for delinquent real property taxes, interest, court costs, and attorney fees on: THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 5, 2026, AT 10:00 A.M.

The sale will be conducted online via the GovEase website at www.govease.com, pursuant to T.C.A. § 67-5-2501(a)(1) and T.C.A. § 67-5-2410(d). The GovEase website will allow bidders to submit bids and to view and download auction results.

Bidder registration will begin on January 5, 2026, at 10:00 a.m.

Beginning thirty (30) days prior to the auction date, personal checks will not be accepted as a form of payment for delinquent taxes on properties listed for sale. Payment may be made by cashier’s check, money order, credit card, or cash. Payment of delinquent taxes must be made on or before 9:00 a.m. on February 5, 2026, in order for a property to be removed from the auction list.

All properties will be sold subject to a one-year statutory right of redemption, beginning on the date the sale is confirmed by order of the court.

County property taxes for 2024 and 2025 will be paid from sale proceeds if sufficient funds are bid to cover them. The properties being sold may also have outstanding city taxes. Such city taxes will be paid from sale proceeds if possible. Any taxes not paid from sale proceeds shall be the responsibility of the purchaser.

All properties are sold “AS IS.” Purchasers are urged to research properties prior to the auction.

A recording fee will be added to the purchase amount. The Clerk and Master will prepare and record the deed after entry of the decree confirming the sale.
