Arts Center of Cannon County Brings Junie B. Jones Back to the Stage

WOODBURY, Tenn. — The Arts Center of Cannon County is bringing a beloved children’s character back to the stage with its upcoming production of Junie B.’s Essential Survival Guide to School JR., a family-friendly musical based on the bestselling Junie B. Jones book series.

The show continues the story of Junie B. Jones, the wisecracking and outspoken first-grader who considers herself an expert on all things school. In this production, Junie B. sets out to write the ultimate guide to surviving first grade. Along the way, she struggles with writer’s block, lands in trouble more than once, and ultimately learns that growing up means owning mistakes and continuing to learn.

Featuring new upbeat songs and an expanded cast, Junie B.’s Essential Survival Guide to School JR. is designed to entertain audiences of all ages while delivering heartfelt lessons about responsibility, honesty, and perseverance. The production is rated G and is appropriate for the entire family.

Performances are scheduled for Saturday, February 28, 2026, and Saturday, March 7, 2026, with showtimes at 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. on both dates. Tickets are currently on sale, with adult tickets priced at $10 and student tickets available for $7.
