MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — Murfreesboro City Schools (MCS) has announced updated details for its 2026 Teacher Job Fair, inviting educators to explore career opportunities in a district focused on inspiring young learners and supporting teacher success. The City Schools are currently hiring for a wide range of full-time and part-time positions across the district.

Some of the available opportunities include assistant roles in special education, cafeteria services, and transportation, as well as positions for bus drivers, CALM coaches, and maintenance staff. The district is also seeking to fill a computer technician position, with salaries of up to $65,000 annually, and a school principal role offering pay ranging from $75,000 to $131,000 per year. In addition, multiple certified teaching positions are available, with salaries ranging from $50,000 to $94,000 annually, along with openings in the extended school program, support services, and at least one leadership position.

The job fair will be held Friday, February 20, 2026, from 4:00 to 6:30 p.m. at Salem Elementary School. The event is open to prospective teachers and Residency 2 students seeking employment for the 2026–2027 school year.

MCS serves nearly 9,000 students across 15 campuses, providing high-quality education for children in Pre-K through sixth grade. During the job fair, candidates will have the opportunity to meet school principals and district leaders, learn about open teaching positions, and gain insight into the district’s instructional philosophy and professional support systems.
