Hairspray centers on Tracy Turnblad, a Baltimore teen in the 1960s who dreams of dancing on a popular TV show and refuses to let anyone dim her confidence. As she steps into the spotlight, she discovers a larger fight for racial integration and equality, using her voice and optimism to push for change. The story blends big humor and big hair with a heartfelt message about acceptance, courage, and celebrating every kind of beauty.
