MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WGNS) - Local commuters should prepare for significant delays this afternoon following a three-vehicle collision on N. Thompson Lane.

The Murfreesboro Police Department has closed the stretch of N. Thompson Lane between Haynes Drive and NW Broad Street to allow emergency crews to work. While the wreckage involved three separate vehicles, officials have confirmed that the resulting injuries are non-critical.

Investigators remain on the scene to determine the cause of the accident. Traffic is currently being diverted, and motorists are strongly advised to seek alternate routes, such as Memorial Blvd or Northfield Blvd, until the roadway is cleared of debris.
