Rutherford County, TN — County Commissioner Craig Harris, a Republican candidate for County Mayor, is “ready for victory” after announcing his campaign’s total receipts of $91,884. That is $82,864 ahead of his closest primary opponent, showing overwhelming support for Harris’ grassroots campaign. The Harris campaign also significantly leads in cash on hand with $74,569, despite being the only candidate to have already invested in a campaign team and advertising across Rutherford County.
“Rutherford Countians from every corner of the county are stepping up to fuel this campaign,” said Commissioner Harris. “We’re earning support from small business owners, first responders, and working families who want a mayor that will listen, tell the truth, and protect our conservative values.”
Harris has built a fully engaged grassroots organization and still maintains a substantial financial advantage. The campaign’s strong cash position ensures that more doors will be knocked, more calls will be made, and more voters will hear directly from Harris about his plan for Rutherford County’s future.
“I’m proud to be building a campaign that has inspired everyday Rutherford Countians to donate,” said Commissioner Harris. “We have momentum, a message, and we are ready for victory with grassroots support, a plan for Rutherford County’s future, and the resources it takes to win.”
Harris’ campaign is rooted in conservative values, fiscal responsibility, and a clear vision to manage growth, strengthen public safety, and preserve what makes Rutherford County a great place to live. Harris has served on the Rutherford County Commission since 2018. Outside of his role as Commissioner, Harris is the CEO of Construction Concepts of Tennessee, he has also been a devoted football coach, most recently serving as Defensive Coordinator at Middle Tennessee Christian School. He lives in Murfreesboro with his wife Suzanne, a registered nurse. They have three children, Reagan, Trey, and Seth, and are active members of New Vision Baptist Church.
