COFFEE COUNTY, Tenn. — In what might qualify as one of the more flexible introductions of the week, the Coffee County Sheriff's Office has issued a social media invitation to the public to help identify — or at least confirm the preferred name of — a man they would like to speak with.
According to the post, the individual in question may answer to Timothy, Jeff, or Josh. If those don’t ring a bell, Ryan could also work. And if we’re going for the full formal option, authorities say he may go by Timothy Ryan Bouldin. To add to the man of mystery, documentation from the Department of Correction fails to show any additional aliases associated with the subject.
To simplify matters, a photo of the man has been posted on the WGNS website. After all, faces can sometimes be easier to recall than a rotating list of possible first names.
Investigators are specifically asking whether the man has offered any “equipment” for sale. What type of equipment? That detail remains unspecified. The request is broad: if you’ve purchased any equipment — of any kind — from him, or if he has tried to sell you something that could reasonably be described as equipment, authorities would like to hear from you.
While the Sheriff’s Office is seeking additional details about the subject’s activities, his current whereabouts are less mysterious. He is being held at the Warren County Sheriff's Department, and it appears that he has had a few run-ins with the law over the years. Some of the counties in which he has been arrested include Van Buren County, Bedford County, and White County, as well as involvement with the Tennessee Department of Correction. He is also under state-supervised probation, and his probation office is located in Rutherford County. His current probation period is set to conclude in almost exactly two years. It appears that he is currently on probation for theft of property valued at $2,500 or more.
If you recognize the man — whatever name you might know him by — and have engaged in any transactions with him, you are asked to contact Coffee County Sheriff’s Investigator Brandon Gullett at 931-728-3591. Authorities say any information you provide could be important.
DISCLAIMER: All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. The arrest records or information about an arrest that are published or reported on NewsRadio WGNS and www.WGNSradio.com are not an indication of guilt or evidence that an actual crime has been committed.
