Murfreesboro Entertainment Landmark Lanes, Trains and Automobiles to Close After 15 Years

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WGNS) — A long-standing pillar of the Rutherford County family entertainment scene is preparing to take its final bow. Lanes, Trains and Automobiles (LTA Depot) has officially announced it will shutter its Murfreesboro operations this spring, marking the end of an era that spanned more than a decade and a half.

The decision to close follows a shift in the ownership of the property where the facility is located. According to a statement from the business, the current landlord has sold the site to a new owner who intends to personally occupy the building. This real estate transaction led to a mutual agreement to terminate the existing lease and wind down business activities at the location.

For 15 years, the venue served as a primary hub for local celebrations, competitive bowling, and youth activities. Management expressed deep gratitude toward the Murfreesboro community, citing the "meaningful" support from local families and dedicated staff members who helped establish the center as a regional staple.

Patrons wishing to visit the facility one last time have a few weeks remaining, as the official final day of operations is scheduled for April 4, 2026. Until that date, the center will maintain its standard operating hours to allow guests a chance to celebrate their final memories at the site.
