Lori Feltner Appointed as New Chief Nursing Officer at TriStar StoneCrest Medical Center

SMYRNA, Tenn. (WGNS) — TriStar StoneCrest Medical Center has officially announced the appointment of Lori Feltner as the facility’s new Chief Nursing Officer. A veteran of the healthcare industry with 23 years of experience, Feltner takes the clinical helm at the 119-bed Smyrna hospital with a primary mission to elevate patient outcomes and enhance the overall care experience.

In her new executive capacity, Feltner is tasked with steering the nursing strategy for the HCA Healthcare-affiliated hospital. Her role involves a heavy emphasis on professional development for the nursing staff and fostering collaborative partnerships with physicians and various care teams to maintain the facility's high standards of safety and clinical excellence.

Feltner’s return to TriStar StoneCrest marks a full-circle moment in her career. She previously served as the director of medical-surgical services at the Smyrna location before rising through the ranks of the HCA Healthcare TriStar Division as vice president of nursing operations. Her extensive leadership resume also includes a recent tenure as Chief Nursing Officer at Parkridge Medical Center.

"Lori is a proven leader with a strong track record of building collaborative teams and driving clinical performance," stated Cody Adams, Chief Operating Officer at TriStar StoneCrest. Adams expressed high confidence that Feltner’s leadership would yield a meaningful, positive impact on both hospital staff and the surrounding community.

Feltner’s academic credentials include dual Master’s degrees in Nursing and Healthcare Administration from the University of Phoenix, following her undergraduate nursing studies at Eastern Kentucky University. She remains an active participant in the industry as a member of the American College of Health Executives and the American Organization of Nursing Executives.

TriStar StoneCrest continues to be a vital healthcare hub for Rutherford County, holding distinctions such as a Level III Trauma Center and a Healthgrades Top 50 Surgical Hospital.
