The price of gas just south of Murfreesboro in Bedford County is slightly lower, at approximately $2.52 per gallon for regular unleaded. Meanwhile, to the west in Williamson County — including the Franklin and Brentwood areas — 87-octane fuel once again ranks among the highest in the state, averaging around $3.03 per gallon. In Nashville proper, drivers are paying roughly $2.68 per gallon, while above Murfreesboro in Wilson County, the average price for regular unleaded is about $2.63. These local figures reflect broader statewide trends in fuel costs.

Across Tennessee, the statewide average price of gasoline has also climbed, landing at approximately $2.61 per gallon, marking an upward shift over recent weeks.

Diesel fuel prices have trended upward as well. Over the past 30 days, the average price for a gallon of diesel has increased by around 14 cents, with the statewide average now near $3.46 per gallon. This rise in diesel costs reflects broader fluctuations in fuel markets that impact commercial and individual drivers alike.

Motorists are encouraged to monitor local prices regularly, as fuel costs continue to fluctuate based on market dynamics, crude oil prices, and regional supply conditions.
