A Woodbury woman allegedly made up an armed robbery and aggravated assault story on Sunday while in Murfreesboro. Michelle Alexander told police that she was walking down Medical Center Parkway when a man approached her from behind and grabbed her bag that contained medical related items. Alexander suggested, “Once the suspect got a hold of the bag, she let go of the bag.” The report also said, “Ms. Alexander states that she was stabbed by a black male wearing a black shirt.” The woman had a laceration to her left forearm and two puncture wounds to her belly.

Upon further investigation, Murfreesboro detectives determined the story was made up. The report shows, “Ms. Alexander admitted to cutting herself.”

At this point, the female was not arrested however; the offense was labeled as a “False Report.”  The woman was admitted to the Emergency Room at Middle Tennessee Medical Center.
