TULLAHOMA, TN (Press Release) — Tullahoma resident and community advocate Jacob Anders has officially announced his candidacy for the U.S. House of Representatives, representing Tennessee's 4th Congressional District. Spanning a wide area, District 4 covers Rutherford County, as well as 14 other counties in the southern Middle Tennessee region, as well as multiple counties southeast of Murfreesboro. The counties in the 4th District include Rutherford, Bedford, Coffee, Moore, Lawrence, Giles, Lincoln, Franklin, Warren, Grundy, Marion, Sequatchie, Bledsoe, Rhea, Meigs Counties.
"I'm raising children in Tennessee, and I've seen firsthand how our communities are being left behind by Washington insiders who prioritize special interests over everyday families," said Anders, an author, historian, and researcher. "From Tullahoma to the far reaches of the district, people are struggling with rising costs, no healthcare, and a lack of good-paying jobs! It's time for fresh leadership that ACTUALLY places Americans First!"
A recent report from the U.S. Census Bureau highlights the challenges in TN-4, where median household income lags behind national averages, and over 10% of residents live in poverty amid economic shifts in rural and suburban areas.
Anders' campaign focuses on three priorities:
Affordability: I will tackle the rising costs crippling families by prioritizing affordable housing, Healthcare For All, and Universal Basic Income to ensure every Tennessean can thrive without financial ruin.
Anti-War: As a mass shooting survivor and having lived through the horrible decades of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, I refuse to let more Americans die fighting for imperialism in the Middle East. We must end endless wars and bring our troops home.
Accountability: Conserve God's gift of nature, DEMAND transparency by releasing the Epstein files with the predators' names unredacted, and disclose all files related to UFOs and aliens as witnessed by military personnel in U.S. military aircraft.
"Our district deserves a better representative than Scott DesJarlais! We deserve a leader who listens to constituents, not billionaire donors," Anders added. "I've spent years engaging on platforms regular people use to hear about the issues that actually matter. Now, I'm ready to take that fight to Congress and deliver results for Tennessee."
Anders plans to connect directly with voters through town halls, door-knocking, and online debates.
"This isn't about party politics. I'm fighting for each and every Tennessean: Independent, Republican, Democrat, and everyone in between! Humanity first!"
