An adult store is about to open on the historic Murfreesboro town square. There are mixed emotions about the retail business.

WGNS News attempted several times to talk with the operators of Body Boutique on South Church Street, but the doors were always locked and no one was present.

One merchant noted there are two distinct patrons of the square: the daytime crowd either works in the area or are there to attend court, visit lawyers or enjoy the specialty shoppes. The evening and late night crowd is totally different. They are there for the bars and night spots. That business owner felt the new store was a better match for the evening patrons.

Another downtown retailer said Body Boutique's owner told them they would open Friday, but that was not confirmed.
