MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — Fire crews in Murfreesboro responded to a residential fire that caused exterior damage to a home Sunday, while one resident sustained minor burns.
According to Murfreesboro Fire Rescue Department officials, firefighters were dispatched to a house fire on Netherland Drive, a street that runs between Cypress Drive and Sherrill Boulevard in Murfreesboro.
When crews arrived on scene, they worked to contain the fire and prevent it from spreading further. Authorities reported that one resident suffered minor burns during the incident, but the individual declined medical treatment and transport to a hospital.
Fire officials say the home sustained some damage, primarily to the exterior of the structure, though the full extent of the damage has not been released.
Multiple units responded to the scene, including Ladder 1 (L1), Engine 3 (E3), Ladder 8 (L8), Rescue 1 (R1), Battalion Chief 1 (BC1), Battalion Chief 2 (BC2), Safety units S1 and S2, along with Car 131, Car 134, and Car 138.
The Murfreesboro Fire Marshal’s Office is currently investigating the cause of the fire.
No additional injuries were reported.
