MURFREESBORO, Tennessee — On Sunday, March 8, 2026, Read To Succeed was presented with the 2025 Governor’s Volunteer Star Award as the Nonprofit Honoree for Middle Tennessee. The award recognizes the extraordinary dedication of the organization’s volunteers, whose time and talents make literacy programming possible throughout Rutherford County.

Read To Succeed’s volunteers support a wide range of initiatives, including Family Literacy Nights, the Imagination Station early childhood program, Adult Basic Education one-on-one tutoring, English as a Second Language classes, office support, and volunteer readers for the annual Reading in the Schools Day event. Volunteers also assist with many community literacy initiatives and outreach events throughout the year, helping distribute books, engage families in literacy activities, and represent Read To Succeed at community gatherings and special events.

With a small staff, Read To Succeed relies heavily on its volunteers to help fulfill its mission of improving lives through literacy. Their dedication allows the organization to expand its reach and provide meaningful literacy opportunities for both children and adults in the community.

“We are deeply grateful for our volunteers and the countless hours they give to support literacy in our community,” said Jolene Radnoti, Executive Director of Read To Succeed. “This recognition truly belongs to them and celebrates the impact they have made over the years.”

Read To Succeed is honored to receive this recognition and proud to celebrate the volunteers who continue to help change lives through literacy.
