MURFREESBORO, TN (WGNS) - The Rutherford County Zetas are inviting the community to come together this spring for an afternoon centered on mothers, babies, and the families who make Murfreesboro feel like home. Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, Sigma Chi Zeta Chapter will host The Sophisticated Blue Crown Maternal and Infant Wellness Celebration on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at 2:30 p.m. at 1004 N. Highland Ave.

The event blends celebration with purpose, focusing on maternal and infant wellness—an issue that continues to shape health outcomes across Tennessee. Chapter members say the goal is to support mothers, protect infants, and strengthen families through awareness, resources, and direct assistance.

As part of the initiative, two expectant mothers will be selected to receive help purchasing essential baby items, easing the transition into motherhood. Those interested can complete a brief application at rutherfordcountyzetas.org. The deadline to apply is April 1.

Community members planning to attend are encouraged to RSVP using the event’s QR code, which also links to the application for expectant mothers. Organizers say they want the event to feel welcoming and accessible for anyone who wants to learn more or simply show support.
