MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WGNS) — Siegel High School is preparing to open its gymnasium doors to the community for the 2nd Annual Siegel Basketball Camp this summer.

KEY POINTS
• Event Schedule: The camp is scheduled to take place on Thursday, June 11, and Friday, June 12, from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Siegel High Gym.
• Target Audience: Registration is open to both boys and girls who are entering the 3rd through 8th grades for the upcoming school year.
• Program Activities: Participants will engage in skill development drills covering ball-handling, shooting, and defense, alongside competitive 3-on-3 games.
• Registration Details: The cost to attend is $50 per camper with a discounted $35 rate for siblings, and sign-ups are processed through the Hometown Ticketing link.

The program, designed for students entering the 3rd through 8th grades, aims to foster a love for the game while providing high-level instruction from the Siegel coaching staff and student-athletes.

The camp will run for two days, June 11 and June 12, with sessions held during the morning hours of 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM. According to Coach Bryan Weakley, the camp serves a dual purpose: it offers younger children a chance to improve their technical skills—such as passing, shooting, and defense—while allowing current high school athletes to step into leadership roles as mentors.

Beyond the drills and 3-on-3 competitions, the event is structured to create lasting community ties. Each participant will receive a camp t-shirt and a basketball. In a tradition designed to build memories, the camp concludes with a session where athletes and campers sign each other's gear. Parents interested in enrolling their children can find registration information online via the school's ticketing portal. We have a link to that at WGNSRadio.com
