Stalking Allegations Lead to Indictments Against Middle Tennessee Deputy

FRANKLIN, TN (WGNS) - An investigation by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has led to the arrest of a Williamson County Sheriff’s Office deputy on charges tied to a domestic-related stalking case that spans both Marshall and Williamson counties. According to the TBI, agents opened the investigation on January 30 at the request of 17th Judicial District Attorney General Robert Carter. The inquiry centered on allegations involving Cody King, 37, of Williamson County. As agents gathered evidence, the case was presented to the Marshall County Grand Jury, which on Wednesday, March 25, returned indictments charging King with six counts of Observation Without Consent and one count of Stalking.

King was booked into the Marshall County Jail on Thursday on a $10,000 bond and later released after posting bond.

The TBI emphasized that its investigation was conducted independently and with full cooperation from the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office. The agency also underscored that the charges are only accusations at this stage. King, like any defendant, is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.

This case has drawn attention in both Chapel Hill, located in neighboring Marshall County, and Williamson County, where King served as a deputy. The cross-county nature of the allegations has added to public interest, particularly as Middle Tennessee communities continue to follow law enforcement accountability cases closely.
