WARREN COUNTY, Tenn. — For the second time in just four months, narcotics investigators in Warren County have arrested a man accused of trafficking methamphetamine into the area, authorities announced.
According to the Warren County Sheriff’s Office, Tyler David Shannon was taken into custody on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, following an investigation into suspected drug activity. His latest arrest comes shortly after he was released on bond earlier this month stemming from a previous case.
Investigators said Shannon had been arrested on November 10, 2025, and charged with felony possession of methamphetamine with intent to sell or deliver, simple possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released on March 4, 2026, after posting a $93,000 bond.
Following his release, narcotics agents began receiving information that Shannon had resumed trafficking methamphetamine from Nashville into Warren County. Acting on that intelligence, investigators apprehended Shannon upon his arrival at a residence in Warren County.
A search of the vehicle Shannon was traveling in allegedly uncovered approximately 48 grams of methamphetamine. Authorities said he was not alone in the vehicle at the time of the arrest. Officials reported that Shannon was accompanied by Melissa Sherea Stembridge and her four-year-old child. Both adults were taken into custody at the scene.
Shannon now faces a new charge of felony possession of methamphetamine with intent to sell or deliver. He remains held at the Warren County Jail on a $155,000 bond.
Stembridge has been charged with felony possession of methamphetamine with intent to sell or deliver, driving while in possession of methamphetamine in an amount of 5 grams or more, and child abuse. She is also being held at the Warren County Jail on a $145,000 bond.
Sheriff Tommy Matheny stated that the arrest underscores the department’s ongoing commitment to combating drug trafficking in the region, emphasizing that investigations into illegal narcotics activity remain continuous.
Authorities say the case remains under investigation.
