LA VERGNE, Tenn. — The La Vergne Police Department has released its March 2026 activity report, highlighting a busy month of enforcement efforts, community engagement, and proactive policing across the city.

According to department data, officers responded to 2,385 calls for service throughout March, underscoring the steady demand for police assistance in the growing Rutherford County community. In addition to responding to calls, officers conducted 1,012 traffic stops aimed at improving roadway safety and deterring violations.

Law enforcement efforts during the month also led to 116 total arrests, including 43 drug-related charges. Officers investigated 26 domestic assault cases and responded to six injury-related traffic accidents. In addition, four stolen vehicles were successfully recovered.

Police officials say the numbers reflect a continued commitment to both crime prevention and accountability. Through visible patrols and proactive enforcement, officers worked to maintain a strong presence in neighborhoods and along major roadways.

The department emphasized that its work is guided by core values including professionalism, integrity, duty, honor, and respect. Officials noted that every call for service and every traffic stop is part of a broader mission to protect residents and prevent crime before it occurs.

Authorities also stressed that public safety is a shared responsibility. Community involvement—such as reporting suspicious activity and remaining vigilant—plays a critical role in supporting law enforcement efforts.

As La Vergne continues to grow, the department says it will remain focused on strengthening partnerships with residents while maintaining a proactive approach to keeping the city safe.
