MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — Detectives with the Murfreesboro Police Department are asking for the public’s help in identifying two individuals connected to a theft at Sephora that resulted in more than $4,300 in stolen merchandise.
According to police, the incident occurred on March 29 when a man and a woman entered the store and allegedly took a large quantity of beauty products before leaving without paying. Investigators have since released surveillance images of the suspects in hopes that someone in the community will recognize them.
The female suspect is described as a heavier-set woman with long dark hair, wearing glasses. She was seen dressed in a loose-fitting black outfit and light-colored shoes, carrying a patterned handbag over her shoulder.
The male suspect appears to be of medium build with short hair and facial hair. He was wearing a maroon or dark red t-shirt, patterned jeans, and white sneakers, and was seen carrying a bright red bag.
Police say both individuals were captured on store surveillance cameras moving throughout the business prior to the reported theft.
Sephora, a well-known international beauty retailer owned by LVMH Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy, offers a wide range of cosmetics, skincare, and personal care products. The store operates under an open-sell concept, allowing customers to browse and interact with products—something authorities say can sometimes be exploited in retail theft cases.
Anyone who recognizes the individuals or has information related to the case is urged to contact Murfreesboro Police at 1220@murfreesborotn.gov or call 629-201-5628. Authorities say all tips will remain anonymous.
The investigation remains ongoing.
