MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WGNS) - A significant traffic disruption is currently affecting motorists on the south side of Murfreesboro following a multi-vehicle accident. The collision, which involved three vehicles, occurred on Joe B. Jackson Parkway in the vicinity of the Stevens Bend and Butler Drive intersections. Due to the position of the vehicles and the debris on the roadway, authorities have made the decision to temporarily shutdown the eastbound lanes. This is the stretch of road near the under construction Buc-ee's and Interstate 24. First responders remain on the scene to assist those involved and to facilitate the removal of the wreckage. No official word has been released regarding the extent of injuries, but motorists are encouraged to stay clear of the area until the roadway is reopened to normal traffic.
