You hear WGNS encouraging listeners to bring worn American flags by the radio station for proper disposal, but have you ever witnessed a Flag Retirement Ceremony? You will have that opportunity at 9:30 this coming Wednesday morning.

Come to the flag pole outside of the Rutherford County Office Building at 319 North Maple Street. The award winning honor guard from the Murfreesboro Fire and Rescue Department will raise and lower the colors, while local Boy Scouts and military will retire Old Glory.

State Senator Jim Tracy will present a new flag to the county and it will be raised.
