MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WGNS) - The Discovery Center at Murfree Spring is moving forward with a new face in its executive office. Beth Cope is now the Vice President of Marketing and Development. She takes over the planning and execution of all fundraising and marketing goals for the Murfreesboro museum.

Cope has a long history in the field with nearly 15 years of professional experience. Her most recent role was at The Webb School where she served as the Director of Family Giving. She says she is excited to join the team and remembers visiting the center often when her twins, Edward and Andrew, were children.

Discovery Center President and CEO Tara MacDougall says Cope is a perfect fit for the mission. MacDougall notes that Cope has a proven track record of creating stories that resonate with donors and stakeholders. The center currently serves more than 120,000 children and families every year through STEAM education and its adjacent wetlands.
