MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WGNS) - The Rutherford County Farmers Market is opening its doors later in the day to serve local residents who work traditional daytime hours.
Organizers will host the market's first-ever Evening Market on Tuesday, May 19th. The event runs from 2 PM to 7 PM at the market's standard location on John R Rice Boulevard in Murfreesboro.
Market officials say the later hours aim to create a brand new after-school and after-work community gathering space. In addition to regular shopping, families can take advantage of a free kids planter pot crafting station. The crafting event is open to all ages while supplies last.
Admission to the market is free. Organizers encourage Rutherford County residents to bring their families out to meet local growers, support small businesses, and buy fresh, local goods.
