EAGLEVILLE, Tenn. (WGNS) - A familiar face is taking the reins at Eagleville School. Rutherford County Schools Director Dr. Jimmy Sullivan appointed longtime assistant principal Jason Brown as the school's next principal. Outgoing principal Tim Pedigo will transition to the district's Central Office after leading Eagleville since 2020.
Brown is a veteran educator who began his career at LaVergne High School in 2003. He joined the Eagleville staff in 2007 as a teacher and earned a promotion to assistant principal in 2011. Brown served under three different administrations during his time at the school. Sullivan expressed complete confidence in Brown, noting that Eagleville is currently a Reward School with a history of academic and athletic success. Brown said he is honored by the appointment and looks forward to maintaining a consistent culture for students from kindergarten through graduation.
Pedigo takes on a restructured role as the district's textbook coordinator. This position handles textbook distribution, purchasing, and accounting for all schools in the county to help control costs. The position opened after longtime supervisor Debra Murphy recently retired. Pedigo thanked the school community for their support and expressed pride in what the school accomplished during his tenure. Brown and Pedigo will work together through June before Brown officially takes over on July 1. School district officials say the search for a new assistant principal begins immediately.
