LA VERGNE, Tenn. - Residents in La Vergne will have an opportunity later this month to speak directly with police leadership about crime trends, neighborhood concerns, and ongoing public safety efforts.

The La Vergne Police Department will host a Community Safety Meeting on Wednesday, June 24, at 6 p.m. at Rock Springs Elementary School, located at 1000 Waldron Road.

The meeting is designed to give residents a chance to hear updates from police, ask questions, and share concerns about safety in their neighborhoods. Police Chief Chris Moews and members of the department are expected to attend and speak with citizens about current crime trends, public safety initiatives, and ways the community can work with law enforcement to address issues before they grow into larger problems.

Department officials said effective policing begins with communication, noting that the agency’s mission includes not only responding to calls and investigating crimes, but also building trust, encouraging transparency, and working proactively with residents.

The department is encouraging all residents to attend, whether they have a specific issue to discuss or simply want to stay informed about what is happening in La Vergne.

The Community Safety Meeting will begin at 6 p.m. on June 24 at Rock Springs Elementary School, 1000 Waldron Road in La Vergne.
