NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Homicide detectives in Nashville are searching for a second suspect in the April 2025 murders of two young Alabama men found in a wooded area between Lincoya Bay Apartments and Percy Priest Lake. This area is close to the Rutherford County line and near the lake.

Authorities have issued arrest warrants for 23-year-old Jose Miguel Guardado-Aguilar, who is wanted on two counts of criminal homicide in connection with the shooting deaths of Amir Landan Wilkerson, 19, and Jaime Valdez-Garcia, 18. Both victims were from Alabaster, Alabama.

Investigators say Guardado-Aguilar has known ties to several communities outside Nashville, including Fort Smith, Arkansas, as well as Birmingham, Hoover, and Alabaster in Alabama. Police consider him armed and dangerous and believe he may be connected to the MS-13 gang.

Anyone who sees Guardado-Aguilar or has information about his location is urged not to approach him. Instead, tips should be reported to Nashville Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463 or to a local law enforcement agency.

The double homicide investigation previously led to the arrest of 24-year-old Josue Daniel Hernandez-Moxje, who was taken into custody in Kenner, Louisiana. He was returned to Nashville last June and remains in the Metro Jail, where he is facing two homicide charges.

The investigation remains active as detectives continue working to locate Guardado-Aguilar and gather additional information in the case.
