MURFREESBORO, TN (WGNS) - Detectives from the Murfreesboro Police Department's Violent Crimes Unit are investigating a shooting that took place early Saturday (6/13/2026) morning at MJ’s Sports Bar & Grill on Northwest Broadway Street.

Authorities arrested one suspect, who now faces three counts of attempted first-degree murder. The incident occurred around 1:30 a.m. on June 13.  The suspect is currently in jail in Nashville.

The shooting victim was discovered at a nearby muffler shop and remains in extremely critical condition.

The investigation is ongoing.
