The Blackman boys will open up play in the 2020 Blue Cross Basketball Championships next Wednesday (March 18th) at 1:15pm with Mt. Juliet. All state tournament games will be played at MTSU's Murphy Center.

The 26-3 Blaze beat Bradley Central Monday 54-34 to advance to the state's elite eight. The Bears, at 29-3, took down Summit 58-41.

One of Mt. Juliet's losses came at the hands of Siegel. After dropping an 80-61 game with Mt. Juliet November 21st, the Stars less than a month later got a 69-64 win.

This is the seventh state tournament appearance by Blackman in the last nine-years. They won the tournament in 2014. That was the first boys championship for a Murfreesboro team since the 1965 Central Tigers took home the hardware.

WGNS will have the game on radio and streaming.
