Carjacking at local apartment complex

A 24 year old Murfreesboro man was the victim of a carjacking early Monday morning. The incident occurred at the Aspen Heights apartment complex off of Rutherford Boulevard.

According to the victim, he was walking to his apartment door when he heard someone yell from behind him. As he turned to look, he saw two men wearing ski masks dressed in black. The victim claimed that one of the men was armed with a shotgun, the other a pistol.

Fearing for his life the victim handed the subjects his car keys. The two unknown men then fled the scene.

The victim's car was located a short time later by MTSU Police. All of his personal belongings were still in his car, except for his iPhone. However, that phone was later found in the roadway.

The case is under investigation.
