House Speaker Glen Casada will resign his speakership. He made a statement that once back in town from a vacation, he will meet with Republican Caucus leaders to determine a date to step down. This after the caucus handed down a 45-to-24 vote of no confidence Monday.

Local State Rep. Dr. Bryan Terry tweeted "I believe that it is time for Speaker Casada to step down so that we may walk on solid ground as we move forward leading Tennessee."
