(MURFREESBORO) Charity Circle's premiere fundraising events, The Ugly Duckling Ball and Patrons Party, announce their leadership and dates. The Ugly Duckling Ball, (or Duck Ball as it is commonly referred), is slated for Saturday, April 27th at Stones River Country Club. Charity Circle member Lindsey Fournier will chair the Duck Ball, Murfreesboro's first and longest-running ball.

"I am thrilled to chair the 52nd Annual Ugly Duckling Ball. Charity Circle has been fundraising and investing in our community for over 108 years," said Duck Ball Chair Lindsey Fournier. "Duck Ball is the most profitable fundraiser for Charity Circle and the proceeds will be given back directly into our community. I have an amazing team of women dedicating their time and talents to make this one of the most elegant and fun evenings of the year in Rutherford County."

To kick-off Duck Ball season and celebrate our most generous donors who contribute at the $1,000 level and above, Patrons Party Chairs, Ellen Willson and Cathy Ownby invite patrons to "An Evening of Southern Elegance" at the Oakleigh home of Dr. Mark and Jill Converse. At the Saturday, April 13 event, guests will be treated to Southern fare prepared by Charity Circle members, beautiful floral displays in hues of peach provided by Murfreesboro Flower Shop's David Lynn, and a special preview of Silent Auction items that will be available for bid at the Duck Ball both in person and online..

"We will carry over the "Evening of Southern Sophistication" theme on to the grand, black-tie Duck Ball through the décor and even into the meal presentation, "said Fournier. "Put on your party shoes as the one of the most exciting bands in Middle Tennessee, Bizz and Everyday People, takes the stage to perform after the sit-down dinner."

Charity Circle is a women's organization founded in 1910 whose fundraising efforts benefit the basic health and welfare needs of families in Murfreesboro. In 2018, the organization distributed more than $432,000 to thirty-six local agencies.
