In Rutherford County the courts are seeing nearly equal number of alcohol DUI, drug DUI and a combination of drugs mixed with alcohol DUI cases.

A 2018 report by MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving) showed that 8,009 crashes in the Volunteer State involved alcohol or drug impared drivers. Of that number, 380 were fatal crashes.
