A Memorial Day weekend crash in Rutherford County claims the life of one and injures four others on Highway 231 South.
NewsChannel 5 reports the two vehicle crash in Christiana around 4:45 Sunday morning.
According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, a 2010 Nissan Versa driven by 18-year old Mateo Perex was traveling north in the southbound lanes when it hit a 2016 Nissan Versa head-on.
The driver of the 2016 Versa, 21-year old Angie Kirk, was killed. Perez along with three passengers in his vehicle were also hurt. They are 28-year old Juana Perez, 24-year old Alonzo Gaspar and a four-year old little girl.
The THP reports the little girl was not in a child restraint seat or a seat belt.
The investigation into the crash is on-going and charges could be filed.
