Friday Afternoon Home Fire on Chickasaw Road

(MURFREESBORO) Murfreesboro Fire and Rescue responded to a home fire on Chickasaw Road around 3:10 Friday (12/27/2019) afternoon.

Upon arrival Ladder 8 found heavy smoke coming from the garage.

Ladder 8's crew along with Engine 3's crew worked quickly to make access and got the fire contained and extinguished quickly.


While doing so, Ladder 1's crew gained entry into the structure and conducted a primary search of the structure.

The search was clear. In fact, the homeowners arrived on scene to find their pet cat was safe also. Red Cross was contacted by Murfreesboro Fire Rescue Department on behalf of the residents.


Acting Battalion Chief Terry Smith said, "Crews did a phenomenal job. They worked well together and were able to get a quick knock down on the fire. A great job was done by all"

The Fire Marshal was on the scene and conducted a routine investigation.
