Murfreesboro Police recently responded to an address on the New Salem Highway for a drug overdose call.
Officers learned that the woman evidently had a history of drug use prior to the overdose. It was also stated to police that she had recently been in rehabilitation.
After NARCAN was administered, the woman awoke and told police that she had snorted heroin.
A police report shows that the woman had a juvenile in the car with her when the overdose occurred. Therefore, a referral was made to the Department of Children's Services.
