The Department of Safety reports the Murfreesboro Driver Service Office on Samsonite Boulevard has been closed down. The office was shut down on Tuesday afternoon due to a shortage of personnel caused by health reasons. Further details on the closure are not being released.

The Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security confirms the Murfreesboro testing center is expected to reopen on October 6, 2020.

Also closed are the Gallatin, Hickory Hollow and Shelbyville Driver Service Centers.

• Gallatin Driver Services Center - Closed, will reopen Thursday, October 1.
• Hickory Hollow Driver Services Center - Closed, will reopen Monday, September 28.
• Murfreesboro Driver Services Center - Closed, will reopen Tuesday, October 6.
