Christmas Events (Happening or Cancelled?)

Many of the Christmas traditions may have to be in the heart for 2020. With the increases in COVID-19 cases, some events are happening while some have been cancelled. 

With increases in the coronavirus, many family's are even concerned with gatherings for Thanksgiving, Christmas and the New Year.

CHRISTMAS PARADES

Murfreesboro: The Murfreesboro Christmas Parade was cancelled due to concern with the coronavirus.

Nashville:  Due to COVID-19, neighboring Nashville is making its parade VIRTUAL this year, and the internet stream will include guest appearances from CeCe Winans, Dolly Parton, The Oak Ridge Boys and many more. Nashville's VIRTUAL Christmas parade will be streamed Saturday, Dec. 5, 2020 by TV-2 CLICK HERE

Smyrna:  Smyrna has also decided that a Christmas Parade would not be advised with the increases in COVID-19. That parade has also been cancelled. However, they will collect food for Nourish Food Bank. Drop-off points are in Santa's sleigh which is in front of Smyrna Town Hall and the antique truck with the "Three-Star" logo on it. 

La Vergne:  The "Parade of Lights" will take place at 6:00PM on Saturday night, December 5, 2020.  The parade begins at Veterans Memorial Park and ends at City Hall, where the tree lighting ceremony and a fireworks show will take place. 

Eagleville:  Eagleville's Christmas Parade is Saturday, December 12, 2020, starting at 11:00 o'clock Saturday morning. 

BETHLEHEM MARKETPLACE

Southeast Baptist Church's Bethlehem Marketplace is cancelled this year. They decided that since COVID-19 is still prevalent in our community, it is not in the best interest of Southeast Baptist Church to conduct Bethlehem Marketplace this year. They noted, "We hope and pray that December of 2021 will find us back in Bethlehem with all of you."

DRIVE THROUGH CHRISTMAS LIGHTS

Murfreesboro:  Join us at Cannonsburgh Village for a drive-through Christmas light show and get into the holiday spirit! It's all in the safety of your vehicle and designed for all ages. Dates: Fridays, December 4, 11 & 18 Saturdays, December 5, 12 & 19, and Sundays, December 6, 13 & 20 from 5:30-8:30 pm. Admission is $5 per car. Lebanon:  Dancing Lights of Christmas is a drive through Nov. 13, 2020 through Dec. 3, 2021 (open nightly 5PM, rain or shine) at the James E. Ward Agricultural Center (945 E Baddour Pkwy; Lebanon, TN). $25 per vehicle.
