Baylor Bramble Passes Away

The former Siegel football player who suffered a traumatic brain injury during a game in 2015 passed away Saturday.

His father, David, who is pastor at Northside Baptist Church, said on social media "after nearly five and a half years of fighting, Baylor's fight is finished. He is with Jesus and hearing 'well done good and faithful servant.'"

Baylor underwent nasal surgery December 30th and the last few days before his death, the family asked for prayers.

Murfreesboro Mayor Shane McFarland commented, "I am saddened to hear of the passing of Baylor Bramble.  The Bramble family represents all that is right and honorable in our City.  You are in our thoughts and prayers. It is my honor to proclaim January 2nd, 2021 will be Baylor Bramble day in the City of Murfreesboro TN. I urge all residents to celebrate the life of this young man. His fight, compassion and spirit will not be forgotten."

Siegel athletics director and former football coach Greg Wyant said, "Baylor was such an inspiration to his peers, teammates, community, and this coach. I know without a shadow of doubt he rest with our God today. Baylor exemplified what it meant to be a true servant of God. Baylor, your work is done here on earth and oh what a fine job you have done. Rest in peace my friend. Be sure that you left a true legacy in so many lives....Especially mine."
