Dr. Gilbert said new school board members, as well as educators must realize they impact so many others . . .

Dr. Gilbert noted that even though Middle Tennessee State University is known for training educators, that there is a shortage of teachers. However, she had strong feelings on things that must be done . . .

The Murfreesboro City Schools will have a JOB FAIR for the entire system at Scales Elementary School on Saturday morning, February 9th. Dr. Gilbert said to come "dressed for success and bring your resume". The event is from 9:30 to 11:30 that morning.

One of the needs is a full faculty to staff the new Salem Elementary School that is under construction in the Veterans Parkway area and will be completed in time for the opening of the 2019 school year in August. This new 2-story complex will be similar to Overall Creek Elementary.
